Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

It’s been too long since I’ve posted but I have been sick all week so that will be my excuse! I pretty much slept the week away but am feeling much better and will get back to work tomorrow.

Yesterday’s mail brought the May issue of Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine which has a very nice article featuring six of my quilts in it! Check it out!!

Signs of Spring

KS is known for unusual weather so 74 degrees in March is not totally unexpected, but it is certainly welcome! After my walk yesterday it seemed just too nice to go inside so I spent some time weeding the perennial beds. If only the good stuff would grow as well as the weeds! So far only the daffodils and tulips are beginning to poke through. I surprised a 4 foot long blacksnake sunning himself by the rock wall and he expressed his displeasure by shaking his tail at me like a rattlesnake would.

Good news!

Lady Godiva made it safely home recently from her travels to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. It always annoys me when venues pack quilts poorly for return. My hand written instructions were returned apparently unread on top of the quilt, as every request was disregarded and the padding material was used to fill the corners of the box! Some venues just don’t care.

Last week I traveled to Columbia, Mo for a guild program that was a lot of fun. It’s always hard to get back in the routine of things after a trip but I started a new pattern design yesterday.

Good news! My acceptance letter from AQS was waiting for me when I got home, so “Lazy Afternoon” will be in Paducah this spring.
