Prairie Power (2012) 
27 X 30" Made for the 2012 "INSPIRATIONS" exhibit which pairs up an artist with a photographer to interpret a photograph into another medium. Here I have been inspired by two different photos by Tammy Patterson, both with wind turbines and cows, and by the hand dyed shibouri fabric that I used for the sky. A limited palette of fabrics depicts the feeling of the wide-open prairie. The piece is machine pieced and machine quiited.
