Made for an on-line challenge Quiltales, I looked for a story that was about horses. “The Kelpie is an evil Scottish water spirit that often takes the form of a beautiful horse to lure victims to himself. He then takes them into deep water, drowns them, and eats everything but their liver which floats back to shore as a warning” - so if you see a beautiful horse with seaweed in his mane and a red glint in his eye, beware! You may already be too close!
