SAQA Benefit Auction

Only four more days till the SAQA auction! This is the annual fundraiser and this is my third year of participating. There are hundreds of wonderful little 12 x 12” quilts to choose from, and you should check them out even if you don’t plan to bid!

Mine is on page 2b, “At Rest”.

This was cut from one piece if Judy Robertson hand dyed fabric (thank you Del!!) that had the most perfect built in reflections that just needed to be water.

You can bid in SAQA’s 2010 Benefit Auction starting September 20th: http://www.saqa.com/news.php?ID=1423

Ruth – I sent the URL for this post to Myrtle in Washington State. She is Judy Robertson’s “ironer”. We were talking about irons and she wrote, “I started in May of 1999 and have ironed 21,725 yards of her fabric.” I think I would be overwhelmed!
I think you did a great job using just one fabric.

I came to write a comment about your quilt selling and see that I wrote the wrong name for Judy’s ironer – it should be Mabel. Sorry. I don’t know anything about Larry & Carol Denning, but I’m glad they purchased your quilt. I had decided not to bid this week and I guess I’m not the only one – it isn’t going well is it? Hope things will pick up. Be safe. Love, Del

Del, so you are not “Anonymous”? I thought it might have been you that got Bodil’s. I agree, it’s very slow this year. Things may be going more for their actual value this time around.
