Busy still
Itās been crazy busy around here since my return, putting away and generally trying to keep up.
Iāve spent several days designing the next piece which will be a picture of a fawn for āCelebrate Spring!”Ā Itās fairly complex so I’ve struggled with the planning stages a little more than usual.Ā After searching through my stash for āfawnā fabrics I discovered that there is not much there to choose from and I do not want to piece the spots.Ā So that meant spending more time shopping, both online and locally.Ā The online order is in transit so in the meantime I have laid in some of the darks and have done a little piecing in areas in which I felt comfortable with the fabrics available. When I get āin the zoneā, piecing,Ā I really donāt want to be bothered to do anything else, but yesterday I was scheduled to teach a machine quilting class, so I had to be gone all day.Ā The class went well and I had a little time after it to do some Christmas and grocery shopping.Ā Today is not looking much better as it involves another trip to town to get my flu shot and do some more shopping.

Good luck with the ‘fawn’. We had a doe hanging out fairly close to the edge of our yard this spring. I named her Jane Doe and come to find out, she was hiding twin fawns. We would only see them one at a time and it took a while to realize there were twins. Only when she felt they were ‘of age’ did she she present them to us together. She would run our Jack Russell terriers and German shepherd out of the woods by chasing them, then snorting and stamping. I can hardly wait to see the piece.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!
