Dog Update
The stray dog is settling in and relaxing enough to play. He found a plastic Folger’s container that I had been using to collect Blister Beetles in and had such a good time tossing and chasing it til he got bored and decided to chew on the garden hose instead. I only had to open the door and step outside for him to walk away. I guess he will teach me not to leave things laying around!
Since he appears to be a youngster who needs to chew we got him a Kong and put peanut butter inside to keep him occupied. He LOVES it. This picture was taken from inside through the screen, so looks a bit fuzzy.

What a lucky fellow to find a dog loving home! What have you named him?

Martha, we just call him “the dog” if we are talking about him, “puppy” if we are talking to him. We hope not to keep him as there is someone who wants him if we ever can catch him, but that is not looking good! We already have two BIG dogs!

He’s a good looking pooch. It’s great that you are taking care of him. Eventually, he’ll come around. It took my last stray cat at least four weeks to let us touch him. And he’s been the sweetest of the three we’ve taken in! The secret is food!

Well, he does like food! He doesn’t miss a meal.
